Basketball Recap: Reed-Custer Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Reed-Custer lost against Manteno back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Reed-Custer Comets fell to the Manteno Panthers 42-37. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Reed-Custer's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-15. As for Manteno, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reed-Custer and Grant Park will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Reed-Custer is facing Grant Park at the right time seeing as Grant Park is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Manteno, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Momence at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Manteno will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Momence will have lost five straight heading into Wednesday's contest.
