Hazel Park is 7-1 against Lincoln since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Abes at 4:00 p.m. Hazel Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Hazel Park took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They blew past South Lake 16-1. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Josh Wilkowski made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wilkowski was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Austin Small, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Hodgson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Hazel Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .731. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Dearborn.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hazel Park, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Everything went Hazel Park's way against Lincoln in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Hazel Park made off with a 16-1 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Abes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
