Basketball Game Preview: Episcopal Maroon vs. Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas

Episcopal and Georgetown Prep are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Episcopal Maroon will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Episcopal was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 63-57 to Landon. The Maroon have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Georgetown Prep faced Bullis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Georgetown Prep lost 64-44 to Bullis. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Little Hoyas have suffered since December 7, 2024.

Georgetown Prep's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Episcopal didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Georgetown Prep when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 62-57 win.
