Baseball Recap: L'Anse Creuse North Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for L'Anse Creuse North's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Lake Orion Dragons on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost three in a row.

L'Anse Creuse North got a good showing from Mario Molnar, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Furthermore, Molnar didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April.

L'Anse Creuse North's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Lake Orion, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-16.

Coming up, L'Anse Creuse North is taking a road trip to take on Marine City at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Orion, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Port Huron Northern at 3:00 p.m.
