Basketball Recap: Raleigh Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Raleigh Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 80-36 loss at the hands of the Calvary Christian Cougar. The Eagles lost against the Cougar in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 56-43 score last time.

Raleigh Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Calvary Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.

Raleigh Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fellowship Baptist Academy at 6:15 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Calvary Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-54 victory against Asheboro Hybrid Academy on the 13th.
