Volleyball Recap: Athens Warriors vs. Triopia/Virginia Trojans
Athens and Triopia/Virginia met for a duel on Wednesday where Athens came out on top. The Athens Warriors took their match against the Triopia/Virginia Trojans 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
While Athens won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23.
Addison Stadsholt paced Athens' offense, picking up nine kills. Stadsholt got some help from
Arabelle Cunningham and her 17 assists.
Athens' record now sits at 28-7. As for Triopia/Virginia, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-11.
Athens does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Triopia/Virginia, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] on the 24th.
