Basketball Recap: Onaga Falls Despite Big Games from Delaney Figge and Abbie Ringel

Onaga lost against Washington County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Onaga Buffaloes fell to the Washington County Tigers 38-32. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Onaga's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Abbie Ringel, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 10 points in addition to six boards and three steals, and Delaney Figge, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Figge a new career-high in boards.

Onaga's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Washington County, they moved to 5-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Frankfort the next time they take the court. Onaga will head out to face Frankfort at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Washington County will host them on January 31st.
