Volleyball Recap: Davenport's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Davenport had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lake Wales Highlanders as they made off with a 3-0 win.

While Davenport won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16, 25-22.

Davenport's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Lake Wales, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davenport will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ridge Community at 6:30 p.m. on March 28th. Lake Wales will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Auburndale at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
