Softball Recap: Jal Comes Up Short

Jal lost against Loving on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amylah Melancon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigal Dardon, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Jal's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Loving, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 18-6.

Coming up, Jal will challenge Dora at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Coyotes at the right time seeing as the Coyotes are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Loving, they have already played their next contest, an 11-0 win against Eunice on the 29th.
