Volleyball Recap: Mainland Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Mainland kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Pine Ridge Panthers. If the Buccaneers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 21-25, 25-13.

Seyahna Sampson paced Mainland's offense, picking up six kills. Sampson got some help from Emma Starr and her 13 assists. Kaliyah Legette controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Mainland has already played their next game (against Deltona), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pine Ridge, they will face off against Crescent City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
