Softball Recap: West Greene Comes Up Short

West Greene couldn't beat Chuckey-Doak on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Buffaloes lost 18-7 to the Black Knights. The Buffaloes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Black Knights earlier this season, when they won 20-7.

West Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Chuckey-Doak, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-13 record this season.

West Greene will venture away from home to face off against Greeneville at 5:30 a.m. on Monday. The Buffaloes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Greene Devils have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Chuckey-Doak, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-11 victory against Happy Valley on the 25th.
