Volleyball Recap: Kerman Starts off Right with Win over Central East

Kerman gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Central East Bengals with a sharp 3-0 win. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bengals recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kerman not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Central East between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-15.

Vanessa Quinto was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had ten digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Central East is on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Kerman will venture away from home to challenge Roosevelt at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central East, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Madera at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
