Basketball Game Preview: Christian Patriots vs. Hoover Cardinals

The Christian Patriots will venture away from home to square off against the Hoover Cardinals at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Christian has nine straight victories, Hoover has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Saturday, Christian was able to grind out a solid win over University City, taking the game 54-46.

Meanwhile, Hoover lost to San Diego on the road by a 60-46 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 665th, while the Cavers are ranked 132nd).

Christian's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Hoover, their loss dropped their record down to 7-19.

Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Hoover in their previous meeting back in January, winning 78-71. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
