Basketball Recap: Capac Comes Up Short

If Capac was feeling good fresh off their 59-28 takedown of Marlette last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Capac Chiefs took a 53-39 bruising from the Ubly Bearcats on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 61-48 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Capac dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Ubly, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.

Capac will square off against Algonac at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Capac is facing Algonac at the right time seeing as Algonac is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Ubly, they will welcome Harbor Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
