Volleyball Recap: Farragut Starts Season with Victory Against Concord Christian

Farragut took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Concord Christian Lions 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Admirals have posted since September 28, 2024.

Farragut was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-17, 16-25, 18-25, 25-21, 15-9.

Farragut found their leader in sophomore Hailey Aiken, who had 19 digs and four aces.

Farragut was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Concord Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nola Lawrence had 17 digs.

Farragut didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Maryville on the 19th. As for Concord Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against West on the 19th.
