Baseball Recap: Sterling Victorious

After losing to Gloucester City the last time they met, Sterling decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Silver Knights came out on top against the Lions by a score of 8-3 on Saturday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Anthony Gogolski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on two hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Gavin McCormick was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Miller, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
