Scottsbluff came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the North Platte Bulldogs 83-49. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, North Platte saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jonathan Rinke went 7-for-10 to rack up 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rinke has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrett Smeltzer, who posted six points.

Scottsbluff's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3. As for North Platte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-19.

Coming up, Scottsbluff and McCook will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.
