Hough had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Mallard Creek Mavericks. The Huskies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mavericks, too.

Hough pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mallard Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hough beat the Mavericks by a score of 6-1 later that day.
