Alexandria-Monroe posted their biggest win since February 6, 2024 on Friday. They put the hurt on the Elwood Panthers with a sharp 62-37 victory. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 36-34 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Elwood still got an impressive performance from Cam Gallegos, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 22 points and three steals. Those 22 points gave Gallegos a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brice Shuler, who posted nine points.

With the victory, Alexandria-Monroe broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10. As for Elwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers duke it out with the Elwood Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Elwood, they will face off against GEO Next Generation at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
