Football Recap: Dunedin Falcons vs. Wildwood Wildcats
Dunedin and Wildwood squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Dunedin had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 37-0 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Falcons, who until this contest were averaging seven points allowed.
Even if they lost, Dunedin's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. In that department, Emmorie Barnes was the leader with three.
Wildwood found their leader in freshman Zoey Brown, who threw for 242 yards and six touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards. Brown is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Ja'niya Corbin did her part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 48 receiving yards.

With the defeat, Dunedin broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-5. As for Wildwood, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Dunedin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wildwood, they will be playing at home against Tampa Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wildcats 5.6, the Crusaders 8.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
