Volleyball Recap: Milford Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Milford duked it out with Panguitch on Wednesday. The Tigers came up short against the Bobcats, falling 3-0. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bobcats when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17, 25-12.

Milford's offense was headlined by Jaidyn McMullin and Karsydi Vetsch, who picked up three kills apiece. McMullin really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with four. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Milford has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Panguitch, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Milford and Panguitch will both be playing Escalante the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Moquis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bobcats will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
