Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks, falling 29-9. The Rough Riders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Silver Streaks from their previous meeting back in January of 2019.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Steinmetz College Prep, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Roosevelt and Steinmetz College Prep's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Roosevelt and Clemente (who has only given up 9.8 points per game) will meet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Roosevelt: 27.2, Steinmetz College Prep: 10) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Steinmetz College Prep will face off against Uplift at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, a squad that's only allowed 25.2 points per game.
