Basketball Recap: Middleton Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Tamarus Johnson and Sherrick Oliver

Middleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 64-57 to the Brandon Eagles. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 67-56.

Middleton's loss came despite strong showings from Sherrick Oliver and Tamarus Johnson. Oliver posted 20 points, while Johnson scored 15 points.

Brandon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Messiah McKinley, who had 16 points. The game was McKinley's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Tyliest Montgomery was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Middleton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Brandon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-13.

Middleton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-47 loss against Chamberlain on the 3rd. As for Brandon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-76 defeat against King on the 3rd.
