For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Chaparral and Wellington meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Roadrunners fell 2-0 to the Crusaders. If the Roadrunners were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Crusaders when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-8.

Makiya Maka paced Chaparral's offense, picking up six kills. Maka got some help from Emily Harding and her ten assists.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Wellington, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Coincidentally, Chaparral and Wellington will both be playing Remington the next time they take the court. The Roadrunners will host the Broncos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Crusaders will play them later in the day, at 11:15 a.m.
