Basketball Recap: Mooreland Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Mooreland faced off against Laverne on Thursday. The Mooreland Bearcats fell to the Laverne Tigers 43-37. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Mooreland dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Laverne, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Mooreland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-34 loss against Hooker on the 20th. Laverne has also already played their next contest, a 60-52 defeat against Texhoma on the 20th.
