            Basketball Recap: Curwensville Golden Tide vs. Clearfield Bison        
        
		
        
        
            Curwensville lost against Clearfield back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Curwensville Golden Tide had to suffer through  an    86-56 loss at the hands of the Clearfield Bison. While losing is never fun, the Golden Tide can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings  (they are ranked 676th, while the Bison are ranked 222nd).
 When it comes to explaining why Curwensville lost, don't look at  Davis Fleming. Despite the final result, he  went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc to rack up 34  points. That was a full 60.7% of Curwensville's points, marking the fifth time in a row  Fleming has  posted  more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was  Chandler English, who  had seven points and five  boards.
  Braison Patrick continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Clearfield,  dropping  a double-double with 42  points and ten  rebounds. The dominant performance gave  Patrick a new career-high in  boards.  Ev Maines was another key player,  going 6-for-15  on his way to 15 points.
Curwensville's defeat was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Clearfield,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 13-9.
 Curwensville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clearfield has  already played their next  game (against Elk County Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
