Baseball Recap: Mt. Blue Victorious

Mt. Blue won the last time they faced Camden Hills and things went their way on Monday too. The Cougars came out on top against the Windjammers by a score of 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Not much got past Aiden Wilkins, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Camden Hills off the board. Wilkins also tossed a walk, which is notable because Mt. Blue is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-4 otherwise.

At the plate, Mt. Blue's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ben Wrigley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Mt. Blue's record now sits at 6-4. As for Camden Hills, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Mt. Blue wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-1 victory against Lewiston on the 21st. As for Camden Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Brunswick on the 21st.
