Basketball Recap: Cedar Mountain Find Success

Cedar Mountain's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past the Yellow Medicine East Sting with a 54-49 win. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Cedar Mountain pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Yellow Medicine East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Cedar Mountain and Ortonville will face off at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Cedar Mountain is facing Ortonville at the right time seeing as Ortonville is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Yellow Medicine East, they and Adrian/Ellsworth will face off at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
