Basketball Recap: Blue Mountain Comes Up Short

Blue Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winooski Spartans. The Bucks lost against the Spartans in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 82-44 score last time.

Blue Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Winooski, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Mountain will host Twinfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Twinfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Blue Mountain likes a good challenge. Winooski has already played their next match (against Northfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
