Cypress Woods has gone a perfect 9-0 against Cypress Lakes recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Cypress Woods Wildcats will welcome the Cypress Lakes Spartans at 12:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Cypress Woods is headed into the contest having not lost since January 9 and will look to keep things rolling. Their defense stepped up to hand Langham Creek a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Lobos are ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cypress Woods' offense was hitting Langham Creek from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Jessica Sinclair led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Cypress Lakes made sure to put some goals up on the board against Waller on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 6-0 win. That six goal margin sets a new team best for the Spartans this season.

Cypress Woods has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up five goals over those 12 contests. Cypress Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Everything went Cypress Woods' way against Cypress Lakes in their previous matchup back in January, as Cypress Woods made off with a 6-0 win. Does Cypress Woods have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cypress Lakes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
