Football Recap: Winneconne Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

Winneconne won against Shawano Community last Friday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Wolves didn't even let the Xavier Hawks on the board, marking the Wolves' second-straight 42-0 shutout. Considering the Wolves have won five contests by more than 41 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winneconne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brody Schaffer, who rushed for 78 yards and three TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 140 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing touchdowns Schaffer has posted since back in October of 2024. Winneconne also got a significant boost from Mason Mathe, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.

The victory keeps Winneconne at an undefeated 6-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 41.7 points this season. As for Xavier, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
