Baseball Recap: Grandfield Bearcats vs. Cyril Pirates
Grandfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cyril Pirates. The Bearcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 13-5.

Kasen Dennard and Cooper Henson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Dennard scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Henson scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Henson has become a key player for Grandfield: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise.
