Basketball Recap: Isaiah Kinard and Kingston Colter Secure Win for Manor New Tech

Manor New Tech won the last time they faced Giddings and things went their way on Tuesday too. The stars were shining brightly for the Titans in a 59-44 win over the Buffaloes. While the Titans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Manor New Tech was led to victory by Kingston Colter and Isaiah Kinard. Colter went 7-for-15 en route to 20 points and seven steals, while Kinard shot 62% from the field to rack up 18 points and three steals. The game was Colter's third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kae'Dyn Hilliard, who posted seven points.

The victory made it two in a row for Manor New Tech and bumps their season record up to 12-2. As for Giddings, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Manor New Tech will head out on the road to challenge Pflugerville Connally at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 75.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Giddings, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lexington at 10:15 a.m. on the 29th.
