South Decatur is 8-2 against Waldron since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. JP Scudder made a big impact no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. South Decatur is 2-1 when Scudder posts eight or more strikeouts, but 1-2 otherwise. Scudder was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Grady Scudder was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Toby Bishop also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
