Softball Recap: Paoli Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Paoli's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They skirted past the Crawford County Wolfpack 5-4. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Jayda Smith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Smith was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Jae Walker was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

Paoli's record is now 3-11. As for Crawford County, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Paoli will challenge Evansville Harrison at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Crawford County, they will take on Perry Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
