After losing to Tremont the last time they met, Hamilton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lions came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 47-37 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cooper Platt, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. Platt is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Nathan Crenshaw, who went 6-for-15 en route to 15 points.

Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tremont, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Hamilton will head out on the road to face off against Alcorn Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tremont, they will head out to square off against Potts Camp at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
