Football Recap: Lake Gibson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Lake Minneola last Friday, Lake Gibson came back down to earth. The Braves were outmatched by the Lakeland Dreadnaughts and fell 40-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Braves were not able to get on the board.

Lakeland was led to victory by Kevin Hendrix and Joseph Howard. Hendrix rushed for 87 yards and one TD on only nine carries, while Howard picked up 80 receiving yards and one touchdown. Howard really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 71 yards.

Lake Gibson now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lakeland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Lake Gibson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-6 victory against Bartow on the 3rd. As for Lakeland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-9 win against Sumner on the 3rd.
