Volleyball Game Preview: Overland Trailblazers vs. Denver West Cowboys

The Overland Trailblazers will venture away from home to take on the Denver West Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Overland has four straight wins, Denver West has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Overland is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since April 5, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Hinkley 3-2.

Overland took Hinkley into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-17, 22-25, 25-15, 15-10.

Justin Cabalo was nothing short of spectacular: he had 23 digs and eight assists.

Overland was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Denver West lost 3-0 to George Washington on Monday.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 25-20.

Overland's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Denver West, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
