Catholic Central came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Oak Glen, but Mikalyn Balch wouldn't allow it. The Oak Glen Golden Bears managed a 48-43 win over the Catholic Central Crusaders on Thursday thanks in part to Balch, who went 8 for 19 en route to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Clark, who posted three points along with five rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Oak Glen's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Catholic Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Oak Glen will take on Indian Creek at 10:00 a.m. on February 8th. As for Catholic Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-41 win against Frontier on the 1st.
