            Baseball Recap: Lapwai Wildcats vs. Troy Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Lapwai extended their losing streak  (dating back to last season) to 25  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-13 in the process. They lost  12-2 to the Troy Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  15-0  on Monday.
 Lapwai saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jereese McCormack, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
As for Troy, the  win was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.
 On Troy's side,  Makhi Durrett was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, five  RBI,  and three  runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most  RBI  Durrett has posted  over his last ten  games.  Dominic Holden was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base.
 Coming up, Lapwai will challenge Nezperce at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Nighthawks at the right time seeing as the Nighthawks are stuck on  a  seven-game losing streak. Troy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
