Baseball Recap: Gilbert Comes Up Short

Gilbert's last matchup with Highland could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 7-0 to the Hawks. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Tigers who fell 5-3 when the teams previously met back in March of 2024.

Gilbert saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Goodman, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Gilbert's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Highland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Highland beat Gilbert by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.
