Basketball Recap: Tyler Broady Key Part of a Team Effort in Oakers Win

Coventry won the last time they faced Middletown and things went their way on Monday too. The Coventry Oakers took down the Middletown Islanders 71-56.

Coventry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Broady, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave Broady a new career-high in assists (eight). Another player making a difference was Brayden Martin, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 16 points and six assists.

Coventry's record now sits at 1-1. As for Middletown, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coventry will venture away from home to challenge Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Middletown, they will head out to face off against St. Raphael Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
