Peekskill won the last time they faced Hamilton and things went their way on Friday too. The Red Devils skirted past the Raiders 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Devils have posted since October 5, 2024.

Peekskill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 13-25, 25-22, 25-12, 15-13.

Khylee Capozzelli paced Peekskill's offense, picking up eight kills. Capozzelli got some help from Nina Ijiogbe and her 23 assists. Ijiogbe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Peekskill has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Peekskill has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Port Chester on the 10th. As for Hamilton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Salem at 5:00 p.m. on the 19th.
