Bradford had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Newberry Panthers. Given the Tornadoes' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Panthers are ranked 180th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bradford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kemontae Nixon led the charge by picking up 114 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Another passer making a difference was Cy Cubbedge, who threw for 149 yards and three TDs.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Bradford proved: they limited Newberry to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. While three picked up at least ten total tackles, Kingston Booker stood above the rest. He made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss). Bradford's ground attack was stronger, having averaged five.

Bradford's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Newberry, they moved to 3-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Bradford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 45-10 win against Leon on the 17th. As for Newberry, they have also already played their next matchup, a 25-7 victory against Fort White on the 17th.
