Softball Game Preview: Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors vs. Greenbrier Panthers

The Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors will take on the Greenbrier Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Little Rock Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Little Rock Christian Academy lost 19-1 to Heber Springs two weeks ago.

Little Rock Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Callahan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits Callahan has posted since back in April of 2024. Evan Lawhon also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenbrier). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Baptist Prep a 10-0 shutout on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Lynlee Thomas made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero). She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ellison Miller, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Kamryn Pudinas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Greenbrier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Little Rock Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Greenbrier, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.

Little Rock Christian Academy suffered a grim 17-0 defeat to Greenbrier in their previous meeting back in March of 2019. Can Little Rock Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
