Basketball Recap: Galeton Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from GAVIN SHUTT and MAYSON MALACZEWSKI

It was a proper cat-fight when Galeton faced off against Northern Potter on Friday. The Galeton Tigers took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northern Potter Panthers. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Galeton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of MAYSON MALACZEWSKI, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards, and GAVIN SHUTT, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Galeton will be playing in front of their home fans against Oswayo Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Galeton is facing Oswayo Valley at the right time seeing as Oswayo Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northern Potter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-41 win against Williamson on the 11th.
