Basketball Recap: Blue Ridge Early College Comes Up Short

Blue Ridge Early College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Highlands Highlanders 66-16. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, with their most recent loss being a 59-15 defeat two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Blue Ridge Early College saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brooklyn Kenney posted six points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds. That was a full 37.5% of Blue Ridge Early College's points, marking the 18th time in a row Kenney has earned more than a third of the team's points.

Blue Ridge Early College's record is now 4-14. As for Highlands, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

As of now, neither Blue Ridge Early College nor Highlands have any future games scheduled.
