Volleyball Game Preview: Wachusett Regional Mountaineers vs. Nashoba Regional Wolves

The Wachusett Regional Mountaineers will challenge the Nashoba Regional Wolves at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Wachusett Regional will be strutting in after a win while Nashoba Regional will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, Wachusett Regional got the win against Tewksbury Memorial by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mountaineers.

Wachusett Regional never let Tewksbury Memorial on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Nashoba Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Algonquin Regional.

Nashoba Regional took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-21, 18-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Nashoba Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Wachusett Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

Wachusett Regional was able to grind out a solid win over Nashoba Regional in their previous matchup back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Mountaineers repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
