Basketball Recap: Johnson Takes a Loss

Johnson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Keith Bears. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Bears are ranked 124th).

Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Keith, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson will venture away from home to square off against University Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Keith, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Charles Henderson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Charles Henderson will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Keith surely won't give up without a fight.
