Basketball Recap: Oroville Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Oroville challenged Woodland Christian on Saturday. The Tigers took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Oroville still got an impressive performance from Kevin Taylor, who posted 29 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Taylor has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlon Smith, who earned five points.

Oroville's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Woodland Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Coming up, Oroville will be home for the holidays to greet Durham at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodland Christian, they will take on Mountain View in a tournament on Thursday.
